Yi Shan is a warm, creative and person-centred family-sensitive counsellor who works with individuals, couples and families. Her approach involves:

  • respecting each client’s unique worldview and meeting them where they are.
  • assisting clients to identify, develop and leverage their own unique strengths.
  • exploring one’s past history, family of origin (F.O.C) and intergenerational patterns.
  • psychoeducation and deepening one’s self-awareness from the inside out. This includes thoughts, feelings and actions, as well as automatic stress responses held in one’s biological body, brain and nervous-system (i.e. fight, flight, freeze and fawn).
